A gorgeous day at one of our favorite beaches,

this was my only opportunity to do a sand sculpture all summer.

The Cape May sand was typically difficult, but with Betty's support

and the encouragement of an appreciative crowd of onlookers,

I finished this mermaid in just five hours.

Unfortunately, the afternoon overcast wasn't terribly conducive to good photos,

so the coloration is a little heavier than usual to compensate.

Several more photos will be added as I have time to "correct" them.
